Description of the poster about INONDABILITE (especially the method) presented at the IUGG'91 symposium in Vienna (Ausria) during the AISH session. It shows that the method goal is to manage the floods by maximizing the natural use of the water stream. It briefly describes the confrontation principle between the flood risk and the actual protection need. It shows the use of flow-duration-frequency models and of mapping. It shows the benefit of the method for the global management of a water stream watershed, its current interest, the durability of the installations and their low cost.
Description du poster sur INONDABILITE (et surtout de la méthode) présenté au congrès de l'IUGG'91 à Vienne (Autriche) dans le cadre de la session de l'AISH. Il montre que la méthode a pour but de gérer les inondations en utilisant au maximum le fonctionnement naturel du cours d'eau. Il décrit brièvement le principe de la confrontation entre le risque d'inondation et le besoin de protection réel. Il indique l'utilisation des QDF et de la cartographie. Il montre l'apport de la méthode pour la gestion globale du Bassin Versant d'un cours d'eau, son intérêt actuel, la pérennité des aménagements et le moindre coût de ceux-ci.
