Experimental characterization of the river-watertable interface on the Grand Gravier island (Rhône)
The bank of the Grand gravier field is equipped with an experimental system that allows limnimetric recordings in several points, with short time steps, from the river to the aquifer. The obtained limnigrams are processed analytically by resolving the Boussinesq equation in a unidirectional scheme. The computation of hydraulic diffusivity in the river watertable continuum and on several transient events highlights a spatial variability along with seasonal effects.
