Project of Regional Biodiversity Observation System in Languedoc-Roussillon: a synthesis of existing systems
Projet d'Observatoire Régional de la Biodiversité en Languedoc-Roussillon : synthèse sur les observatoires existants
Résumé
This report makes a synthesis of what is covered by the terms "observatoire de la biodiversité". An inventory of the existing observation systems (in a broad sense), and a first pragmatic classification show the trap of a semantic approach. In a second time, it is showed that the diversity of the observation systems follows three principal criterias: the width of the their scope, the origin of the data, and the type of valorization. Several examples are developed.
Ce rapport fait un bilan de ce que peuvent recouvrir les termes "observatoire de la biodiversité". Un inventaire de l'existant (au sens large), et une première classification pragmatique mettent en évidence le piège d'une approche sémantique. Dans un second temps, il est montré que la diversité des observatoires suit trois critères principaux : la largeur de leur champ d'application, l'origine des données, et le type de valorisation. Un certain nombre d'exemples sont développés.
