Comparison of two experimental systems for the calibration of passive SBSE for 16 pesticides

Comparaison de deux systèmes expérimentaux pour la calibration d'échantillonneurs passif pour les pesticides

Résumé

Passive sampling has been developed for representative and reliable monitoring of organic micropollutants such as pesticides in freshwaters. Prior to field exposure, a calibration of the passive samplers is required to obtain reliable time-integrative average concentrations. In this study two different experimental systems were tested and compared with continuous flow or static mode for the calibration of 20 pesticides with a varying range of log Kow (2.18-5.11). We compared the characteristics of both systems (consumption of water and pesticides, stability of pesticide concentrations) and the obtained calibration coefficients (sampling rates).
