Résumé / Abstract
Farm Management Information Systems provide decision-makers (farmers) with a set of predefined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are issued manually from collected data or via sensors installed on farm equipment. However, agricultural decision-makers need ad-hoc KPIs issued from low-cost sensors. Therefore, we present our VBoxReporting system in this paper. VBoxReporting is a complete system that allows the rapid design and implementation of reporting KPIs issued from VBox data. VBox, which was developed by Exotic Systems, is a low-cost sensor for tracing the energy use of agricultural equipment. Once the indicators are modeled, VBoxReporting automatically generates all of the scripts required to load data from VBox and create the indicators. We also provide a usability study to validate our user interface layer.
